Divine Ritual: How To Make Your Bath Sacred

In some religions, babies are dipped into holy water to initiate their childhood. In some parts of Asia, bathing is considered a way for communities to come together. In Ancient Egypt, Cleopatra used the art of bathing as a sacred beauty ritual to connect to the Goddesses. I come to the bath to honor and love my body, to meditate, to manifest, and to let go.

In our fast-paced world, it’s important to have rituals that allow us to slow down and tune in. Bathing, which has been a ritual used all over the world since the beginning of time as a way to connect with our bodies and to the divine, is a beautiful way to carve out 25 minutes of time, just for ourselves.

Here are my top 3 ways to turn your bath into a Sacred and ritualistic experience.

Meditate

My favorite feeling is being underwater with just my face above and silencing out the whole world. All you are left to hear is your heartbeat, breathe, and guiding intuition. Meditate on what you're grateful for, what you want to manifest, and what you want to release. These positive thoughts actually change the structure of the water molecules, so you're bathing in a pool of love and peace.

Add earth + plants

Turn your bath into a healing one, with salts, oils, herbs and flowers. I customize a Sacred Soak for my clients to heal a broken heart, help with forgiveness, and calm achy muscles. There is a bath cure for every wound. Tell me what you're working through and I'll customize one just for you.

Bring in crystals

Adding these high vibration minerals to your tub will change the frequency of your water to energize it in a beautiful way. Put in some rose quartz if you're heart is feeling closed, turquoise if you need to strengthen your communication, or amethyst if you want to connect to your intuition. Ask me what crystals are right for you!

Tune into your body and ask her what it needs as you prepare your bath ritual. Do you need energizing after a long day? Select some lemongrass oils and peppermint tea. Do you need to get out of your head, and back into your body after lots of thinking? Incorporate some Vetiver and Lavender oils.

Whatever you choose, enjoy this beautiful moment for yourself!
