Assessing your party mindset before the party will help you be completely present. As a result, you'll connect with others on a much deeper level and make lasting memories. Best of all, you'll have more fun!
Whether it’s a work event or a glitzy evening thrown by friends, there are always plenty of parties to attend around this time of year. Even though it’s a really fun way to celebrate the season, we can all have moments where we question what to wear, what to bring, or frankly if we should go out at all? The holidays are meant to be merry so you may feel grinch-like if you’re not excited. But trust me, you’re not alone.
To help you release anxiety and get in the party mindset I’ve put together an easy 3-step guide.
If you do anything at all, do this! Nothing will clear your mind and spirit quite like meditating. Find a comfortable and quiet seat at home. If you only have a few minutes that will TOTALLY work. Close your eyes and watch your breath move in and out. Notice if you have any distracting thoughts that are not serving your highest good. Don’t try to make these thoughts go away. See them, feel them and release them with your breath.
Set an intention
Once you clear your spirit with meditation, set an intention for your evening. Be clear and specific with how you want to feel and what you want your night to look like. Don’t limit yourself, go big and see the world for its abundance rather than limitations.
Be of Service
The holiday season is all about giving. Lending a helping hand is the best way to be of service, get out of your head and meet new people. As soon as you arrive offer to help set up, clean up or take food and drinks to people.
May you all have a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and a happy, abundant, healthy new year
